This is the
Maritime VHF Radio course, approved by
Industry Canada/Spectrum Management. Introduces
the student to Maritime Mobile Service, Regulations and Procedures.
Students are taught the use of marine radios, choice of frequencies,
operation, protocol, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases.
Includes
new component: Digital Selective Calling (DSC) instruction and
certification. Successful completion leads to issuance of Restricted Operator
Certificate
(R.O.C. - Maritime).
This
course runs
over 3 weekday
evenings.
